HOW WILL COUNSELLING HELP ME?

Counselling gives you a place to talk freely, with absolute confidentiality and the knowledge that you will not be judged.

Having confidence that you can really talk openly about whatever you want enables you to explore experiences and feelings in a new light, and to move forward with greater self awareness and without your past weighing you down so much.

DO YOU TAKE REFERRALS?

I will take referrals from Children's agencies, charities, and schools. I have extensive experience of working with other agencies that may be involved - please get in touch if you would like to know more.

HOW LONG DOES A SESSION LAST?

A session lasts for 50 minutes.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I HAVE?

You'll usually have an assessment session followed by at least 6 counselling sessions, although they can carry on for as long as we feel they need to.

CAN I BOOK A TASTER SESSION?

I don't offer "taster sessions". Our first meeting is an opportunity for us to meet, where you will be able to ask any questions you like, and I will ask some questions myself. It gives you the chance to decide whether I am the right therapist for you. This initial assessment is charged at the standard rate of £45.

WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?

The rate for private clients is £45 per session. The fee is the same for private one-to-one counselling and family support sessions.

I AM LOOKING FOR COUNSELLING FOR MY CHILD. CAN I ATTEND SESSIONS?

Parents will attend the initial assessment session and any assessment reviews which are held every 6 weeks. Parents are able to talk to me outside of sessions, but do not sit in counselling sessions, as I have found this to inhibit the therapeutic process.

HOW DO I KNOW MY CHILDREN ARE SAFE?

I am fully DBS checked and a registered member of the BACP.

Still have questions? Get in touch and I’ll be happy to answer them as soon as possible.
